ELLIOTTSBURG — The Hollidaysburg High School girls track and field team finished second to West Perry (170-145) at the West Perry Invitational on Saturday.

Marin Miller won the 100-meter dash (12.91), 200 dash (26.6), 400 dash (59.99) and long jump (16 feet, 4.5 inches). Other winners were Lily Jodon (high jump, 5 feet), Jenna Wilt (pole vault, 9 feet), Emma Parnell (triple jump (33 feet, 8.5 inches) and Seddy Clapper (800 run, 2:32.26).

Emily Bumberger was second in the shot put and discus, Sophia Moyer was second in the 400 dash, and Hollidaysburg’s 3,200 relay team of Clapper, Aubree Waksmonski, Ellen Yarnell and Cece Williams was also second.

CC wins Classic

LOCK HAVEN — The Central Cambria girls won the Lock Haven University High School Classic championship, finishing first out of 21 teams.

Stella Kuntz won the steeple chase, and Annaliese Niebauer won the 3,200-meter run.

Central Cambria’s team of Faith Wilson, Abigail Sheehan, Niebauer and Abigail George won the 3,200-meter relay, and George placed second in the 800-meter run. Wilson, Abby Walwro, George and Abigail Sheehan finished second in the 1,600 relay.

Adams third

PHILADELPHIA — Altoona senior Jake Adams finished third in the long jump at the Penn Relays on Friday with a leap of 23 feet, 2.75 inches.

The event was won by Gregory Foster from New Jersey (24 feet, 11 inches).
