Betty Boop
Betty Boop is an American animated character, born in 1923. She is best known for her witty humor and her frog-like resemblance to a pig. Her 110 cartoon appearances were sold to UM&M, a television syndicator, in 1955. In 1956, National Telefilm Associates acquired UM&M and reorganized as Republic Pictures. However, Republic Pictures failed to make a profit and folded in 2012. Melange Pictures, a subsidiary of ViacomCBS and Paramount, inherited the Boop cartoons from CBS Television Distribution and CBS Media Ventures.
